Project Description

The team of Make Creative Spaces manufactured the 3D printed birds installation on the entrance window at the ERGO Offices building.

The team of Make Creative Spaces designed and manufactured the 3D printed birds installation for ERGO. The work stands on the entrance window at the ERGO Offices building in Athens. Following the parametric installation in the entrance of the same building , our team undertook the making of this decorative project. Once again Make collaborated with Parthenios Architects who carried away the interior design and the outcome was captivating.

The object was to simply give life to a peaceful corner of the interior. Our team tried to capture the calmness of the building’s echo as the time freezes with a flock of birds flying towards the sky. A geometrical approach in the designing process shaped the flying silhouettes into their static and supernatural version.

The technique the team chose to work with had to be very precise. So, every bird was 3D printed with resin printers and later painted white with the airbrush. Delicate and weightless as the birds were, our team carefully placed a network of thin fishing lines to connect the installation as whole. Specially modified stoppers were used to place the 3D birds on their preferred height.
