Construction of Satellite Model by MAKE Creative Spaces

MAKE Creative Spaces collaborated with Hellas Sat to construct a scale model of the Hellas Sat 3 satellite, intended as a corporate gift. This 1:75 scale model was designed to accurately and meticulously represent the real satellite, offering an impressive presentation.

Technical Details and Materials

The model was constructed using high-resolution resin 3D printers. This technology allowed us to replicate the detailed features of the satellite precisely. After printing, the model underwent extensive finishing and model painting processes to achieve a highly realistic and high-quality result.

Challenges and Innovations

During the construction, our team faced several challenges in simulating the satellite’s materials. One of the most demanding aspects was the representation of the photovoltaic elements on the satellite’s wings. Additionally, the flake-patterned casing and the reflective surfaces of the communication instruments required special processing to be accurately and faithfully rendered.

Presentation and Delivery

The final model was delivered in a custom display case, adorned with Hellas Sat’s branding. This case not only provided protection for the model but also enhanced its aesthetic presentation, making it an impressive and memorable corporate gift.
