Scale model of the Hellas Sat Space Center in Cyprus

At Make Creative Spaces, we design and fabricate highly detailed architectural and technical models that combine digital production with meticulous hand finishing. For Hellas Sat’s participation at DEFEA 2025, the international Defence & Security Exhibition held in Athens, we created a large-scale model of the Hellas Sat Space Center Cyprus, measuring 158 × 95 × 25 cm.

The model represents the company’s satellite ground facilities in Cyprus, including the main technical buildings, numerous satellite antennas of different sizes, photovoltaic installations, access roads, security fencing, service areas and landscaped surroundings. Hellas Sat is a European satellite operator providing satellite communications and connectivity services through its orbital fleet and ground infrastructure in Greece and Cyprus.

Its construction combined a wide range of fabrication and model-making techniques, including ASA and resin 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting, UV printing, professional painting and realistic landscaping. Each production method was selected according to the geometry, scale and level of detail required, allowing us to accurately reproduce both the overall site and its smaller technical elements.

Special attention was also given to durability and long-term display, through the use of stable materials and high-quality finishes designed to retain their appearance over time. The project reflects the approach of Make Creative Spaces to complex architectural and technical models: combining digital design, advanced fabrication technologies and handcrafted finishing to achieve accurate, durable and highly detailed presentation pieces.
